About The Author

I was born and raised in Poland.  I studied the American method of patternmaking at the Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio, and the French method at the French Fashion Academy in New York City.  I also studied the English and German methods of patternmaking.  I have a degree in history and an avid interest in historical and ethnic costumes.  I am a member of the Columbus Ohio Chapter of the American Sewing Guild, a resource member of The Professional Association of Custom Clothiers and the owner of Vestis Books.

Did you know that the word vestis in Latin means clothes?  The name Vestis Books means books about clothes.
